The Flow Cytometry Unit of the School of Medicine, University of Crete, is equipped with the following instruments:
MA900 Multi-Application Cell Sorter, SONY
The Sony MA900 Cell Sorter is an advanced benchtop cell sorting platform designed to deliver high performance, flexibility, and automation for multiparametric flow cytometry applications. Its patented microfluidic chip technology enables gentle, precise, and contamination-protected cell sorting, making it suitable for a wide range of research applications.
The BD FACSAria™ III Cell Sorter is intended for research use and carries CE marking. It performs cell measurement, sorting, and analysis and is mounted on a dedicated mobile workstation.
The BD FACSCanto™ II Flow Cytometer is suitable for both research and clinical diagnostic applications. It carries CE marking in accordance with the European In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Directive 98/79/EC. The instrument measures and analyzes cells and is designed for benchtop operation.
The Cytek® Aurora 5L is a spectral flow cytometer designed for high-dimensional multiparametric analysis. The system includes an automatic sample loader.
