Molecular Biologist and Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Specialist
Dr Eleftherios Panteris is a Molecular Biologist and Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Specialist with a PhD in Computer Science from Brunel University, an MPhil in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex, and a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Genetics in Biotechnology from the same university. His work lies at the intersection of quantitative health research, biomedical data analysis, and translational life sciences.
He is currently engaged in education and research in Neonatology at the University of Crete. His academic and research activity focuses on biostatistics, study design, bioinformatics, metabolomics, and the analysis of complex biomedical data, with applications spanning maternal and neonatal health, cardiovascular medicine, molecular genetics, and public health.
Dr Panteris has substantial experience in interdisciplinary and international research environments. He has contributed to European and national research projects, and has supported clinical and translational research through advanced statistical modelling, experimental design, and interpretation of biological and clinical datasets. He has also served on the Board of the Hellenic Bioinformatics Society and has contributed to postgraduate teaching in applied statistics and bioinformatics.

Dr Papadaki’s main field of interest is Neutropenia, Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes and Umbilical Cord Blood applications. She had been the PI in a number of national and international Projects, she has more than 200 publications and more than 7000 citations. She has been awarded by 25 Awards for best abstract or full paper in the Hellenic Haematology Association and has received the Health Care Greek Award for the category “Research in Hospital” in 2021 and 2023.
