Konstantinos Krasagakis is Professor of Dermatology at the Medical School of the University of Crete and Head of the Department of Dermatology of the University Hospital of Heraklion. He is also the Head of the Dermatology Research Laboratory of the School of Medicine. His main clinical interests are inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and skin cancer. His research interests include the mechanisms of skin carcinogenesis and immune mechanisms of skin inflammation. He is the author of more than 130 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the Pubmed database. He is the coordinator of the undergraduate studies committee of the Medical School of the University of Crete and a member of the expert group for the specialty of Dermatology-Venereology of the Central Council of Health of the Ministry of Health, Greece. He is also a Board member of the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR).
