Sabine Krüger-Krasagakis is Professor of Dermatology at the Medical School of the University of Crete. She graduated from the Medical School of the Free University Berlin and received the title of Doctor of Medicine at the same University. She did postdoctoral research at the Institute of Immunology of the Free University Berlin and then specialized in Dermatology-Venereology and Allergology at the Charite University Hospital in Berlin. She was a fellow of the German Research Society. Her scientific work focused mainly on the study of the epidemiology of melanoma, the immune mechanisms of cancer and allergic skin diseases, and the immunology and genetics of psoriasis. She is the author of more than 110 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the Pubmed database. She has been a member of the General Assembly of the School of Medicine and the International Exchange Committee of the School of Medicine of the University of Crete, while she co-organized panhellenic dermatological conferences of the Dermatology of Dermatology of the University General Hospital of Heraklion in Crete.
